Hi, my name is Chantal Lawrie. I was born in Argentina. And even though work takes me to many many places I am based in Miami with my husband Paul and Harley dog
WHY DO I SHOOT?
I shoot families because I know I am creating memories for people to come.
Because my happiest time in life was childhood. Looking at images of my sisters and me as kids make me smile.
Seeing my mom and dad in their 20's with 3 daughters makes me realized all the sacrifices they did for us. And even though my parents are no longer together I know they were happy.
So yes, this is why I shoot. Because of these old pictures of my mom, dad, and sisters.
Knowing that in years to come someone will have this same feeling from images I once took, makes me feel that what I do matters.
